Tomorrow is the 4th and I'm praying for no rain so we can enjoy the fireworks.  The 4th of July is my hubbies favorite holiday and it's when we shared our first kiss ever over 14 years ago.  I'm working tomorrow and have the evening free to ring in the 4th.
I wore this ensemble to church on Sunday.  I can't remember the last time I wore my hair down.  When it's hot I don't want to wear it down nor do I make time to come through the curls so it winds up most of the summer.

I can't believe it's July 1st already and before you know it summer is gone!  Well let's focus on enjoying all that summer still has to offer.  The rain has been putting a damper on pool days but I'm hopeful for many more pool days to come. My youngest is taking swimming lessons.

I wore this ensemble to work on Saturday to Madewell.  I was excited to make a tie dye t-shirt of my very own. After thrifting this tee and taking off the sleeves I'm happy on how it turned out.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We've been enjoying my mother in-law's visit and celebrating my oldest birthday.  She had a blast tie dying t-shirts and a sing off with her girl friends, needless to say I'm still exhausted from a busy weekend.

Yesterday was my oldest daughter's birthday and she enjoyed a beautiful day filled with a hair salon appt., cake & ice cream, gifts and spending time with her grandma while she's in town.  Her official birthday party kicks off this Saturday.

I wore this ensemble yesterday and I was aiming for effortless boho casual.  I love those summer looks that evoke easy breeziness. I did want to mention that I purchased the now crop top as a nightgown off of Ebay and cut it to the desired length and hemmed it by hand.  I believe it turned out well!

Crazy week with lots to do!  Today is my oldest daughter's birthday and my mother in law is in town to help celebrate.  We have a cool party planned on Saturday for her with a "Girls just want to have fun" theme. I have a shoot I've been prepping for next week and on top of all my other responsibilities life is hectic but good hectic!

We got back on Saturday evening from vacation.  It was a bittersweet departure from beautiful Cape May,NJ.  We enjoyed delicious food, miniature golf, the beach, poolside, thrifting and the zoo.  I look forward to returning in the near future and even told my hubby that I would like to make it our summer spot.

This week is the official start of Summer.  Do you have any exciting plans for this summer?

I wore this ensemble to church yesterday.  It was such a rainy day on Sunday but cleared up later on in the evening.  I cooked a special breakfast dinner for my hubby on Father's Day and he's off playing golf today.  I hope everyone enjoyed celebrating the special men in their lives!

We are catching up on some much needed rain here in Pittsburgh.  The sunshine comes back our way this weekend just in time for the Pittsburgh Jazz Live concerts that are going on.  I'm hoping to attend a free concert for Chaka Khan this Sunday.  It all depends if I get my packing done by then.

I wore this ensemble to work at Madewell last weekend.  As much as I gravitate towards boho chic looks I'm also drawn to polished ones as well.  It's something about the classy and put together women that inspires me.  I think it's the elegance and confidence that is alluring.

That is what I was channeling when pulling this look together, confidence and elegance wrapped into one.  Not too many accessories just the usual suspects.

On a different note my family and I are headed off for vacation next week to Cape May,NJ.  I'm excited for the beach and thrifting while I'm away.  Fingers crossed for good finds in Cape May xxxx

I wore this ensemble to a Pop-up shop event last Friday.  The Pop Up Shop showcased the work of Kiya Tomlin's dresses, Sandra Cadavid's handbags and Emy Mack's shoes.  It was a great event and all three ladies showcased their lovely collections of high quality wears.

I recently ordered this amazing two tone leather clutch that is handmade in Brooklyn by an Etsy shop called: Gift Shop Brooklyn.  I had been looking for a special metallic gold leather clutch and she custom made this one for me, I'm in love!  I was excited to take it out on the town that evening! I've never been a big fan of clutches but let's face it a great clutch can be the prefect accessory to pull a look together.

I've been experimenting with a messy bun instead of my sock bun for a more organic boho vibe.  I believe accessories make or break a look so I opted for my silver hoop earrings and assorted vintage sterling silver rings. I went with a more natural makeup look with my a bold lip.

Chilly weekend but still a good one!  My hubby was away for a wedding so it was just me and the girls.  We  ventured out to an Estate Sale and scored some vintage goodness.  I worked Monday and enjoyed catching up with the hubs.
I wore this ensemble to church on Sunday.  I usually gravitate towards boho chic so I was in my element this day.  I decided to go with a messy bun (not sure how I feel about it?).  I designed this vintage sheer handkerchief top last summer and paired it with a pair of wide-leg denim. My accessories included my gold necklace (which I don't take off), Fendi sunnies, assorted bangle stack, hoop earrings and a Jan Michaels ring which I have a small collection of her rings.

The weather is heating up in Pittsburgh, we already turned the AC on!  I'm not complaining just yet lol but I am grateful for all of the sunshine.

I wore this ensemble to work on Sunday.  When the weather is hot all I want to wear is non-fussy pieces and natural makeup all summer long. So with this look I gravitated towards this vintage tunic and wore it with my Madewell skinnies.  My accessories included: My dainty gold necklace which was a recent Mother's Day gift from my hubby,  my go to assorted bangle stack, hoop earrings and a vintage cocktail ring. I opted for a pink/nude tone for my lippie color instead of my signature Chanel red lips.

I wore this ensemble to work on Saturday.  I'm not sure what to call this look be never the less I styled it like this:  My go to sock bun when I want to achieve a chic finish look.  Then I wore my favorite go to necklaces and bangle stacks. Finally I pulled out these lovely vintage 1940 heels because I've been loving nude tone shoes with brights.  I guess it's a fun chic look?  

My family and I also enjoyed a spontaneous cookout with friends on Saturday and I enjoyed a going away party for a dear friend from work on Sunday.  I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I wore this outfit last week to work at Madewell.  I was going for a effortless boho look.  I actually hemmed up this dress as it was an odd length.  I paired it with a Levi's light wash denim vest.  My accessories included vintage necklace, gold hoop earrings, vintage cocktail ring and a stack of bangles.

I hope everyone had a great weekend celebrating the special women in their lives.  I enjoyed Sunday brunch with my family at Casbah.  The food was delicious!  I initially intended to wear a more Springy ensemble but the high temp was only 52 degrees so I opted for this edgy look instead.  This is how I styled it.  I went with my natural curls down.  Then I chose to wear this dress which was a recent vintage score at the Vintage Pittsburgh Mixer.  I accompanied it with this leather jacket which is one of my prized vintage finds to date! My adornments included hoop earrings, gold chain, cocktail ring and a stack of bangles. Finally to complete my look I wore one of my favorite booties by DC Copenhagen.  I stayed warm despite the weather and enjoyed spending time with my family.
