I've been nursing a cold trying to come on but I think I nipped it just before it escalated into something worse.  Now my hubby on the other hand is still struggling with the cold but is managing with a little help from his wifey. We pick up our oldest daughter from camp this Saturday. Our youngest misses her terribly!  I can't believe school starts back up in 3.5 weeks.

I attended a media event to launch Style Week Pittsburgh yesterday.  I'm excited to be one of the featured Stylist during Style Week Pgh for the Decades Fashion show being held at Cavo restaurant in the Strip District on Friday Aug. 9th.  To learn more about Style Week Pittsburgh visit the Facebook page here:

I'm three days into my vacation and planned ahead with scheduled post.  I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far!

I wore this ensemble to work at Madewell the Sunday before I left.  I pulled this look together the day of.  I normally think ahead and pull my clothes the night before so I won't have to rush but I was able to pull this together fairly quickly.   I'm not sure about your process in getting dressed but I put a lot of time and energy into my appearance because it's an expression and extension of my heart's passion.  It also unleashes my inner confidence and helps me to tackle my day with fervour.  I would love to hear what your process is like!

Happy Wednesday!

What a weekend!  Saturday was fun co-hosting a Swap & Shop event.  We had a great response and hope to do a public one in the near future.  Sunday was full of unwanted surprises.  As we were headed to church in our car ready to go my husband realized he left his keys in the house but how did we get in the car you ask?  Well I normally run late but today I was a head of time and decided to meet my hubby in the car but after letting myself in the car I walked back in the house and put my keys back. Long story short I created some confusion and that lead to my husband putting back his keys thinking that I had mine.  So we were stuck in our car all dressed up with no keys to start the car or to let ourselves back into our home.

We eventually got a locksmith to open up our house after he charged us an outrageous amount of money to complete the job.  Unbelievable!  I will be posting the name of that Company so local Pittsburghers won't be duped into the same ordeal we were.  Anyway we got back into our home which was the most important thing, thank God!

Happy Monday
