It's starting to feel like summer and I just purchased our local pool passes to enjoy for the season.  

I wore this ensemble yesterday to work.  Believe it or not I was having second thoughts on this skirt after I purchased it, not sure why but I'm over it now!  I paired this lovely skirt with a Lagelle upcycle vintage top.  I thrifted the vintage floral tank and knitted the sleeves right on to create a more romantic look.  Gold tones have been a fav. lately so I choose this belt from my massive assortment of belts to extenuate my waist.

Although I love to pile accessories on I've been trying to cut back and go with the less is more look.  Just by adding the right accessories you can pull your look together but I'm learning that sometimes minimal accessories can look just as good!

I wore this ensemble to work on Monday.  I was channeling a Chloe inspired look here. I've been experimenting with a messy bun instead of my sock bun for a more organic boho vibe.  I believe accessories make or break a look so I opted for my silver hoop earrings and assorted vintage sterling silver rings. I went with a more natural makeup look with my a bold lip.

Chilly weekend but still a good one!  My hubby was away for a wedding so it was just me and the girls.  We  ventured out to an Estate Sale and scored some vintage goodness.  I worked Monday and enjoyed catching up with the hubs.
I wore this ensemble to church on Sunday.  I usually gravitate towards boho chic so I was in my element this day.  I decided to go with a messy bun (not sure how I feel about it?).  I designed this vintage sheer handkerchief top last summer and paired it with a pair of wide-leg denim. My accessories included my gold necklace (which I don't take off), Fendi sunnies, assorted bangle stack, hoop earrings and a Jan Michaels ring which I have a small collection of her rings.

The weather is heating up in Pittsburgh, we already turned the AC on!  I'm not complaining just yet lol but I am grateful for all of the sunshine.

I wore this ensemble to work on Sunday.  When the weather is hot all I want to wear is non-fussy pieces and natural makeup all summer long. So with this look I gravitated towards this vintage tunic and wore it with my Madewell skinnies.  My accessories included: My dainty gold necklace which was a recent Mother's Day gift from my hubby,  my go to assorted bangle stack, hoop earrings and a vintage cocktail ring. I opted for a pink/nude tone for my lippie color instead of my signature Chanel red lips.

I wore this ensemble to work on Saturday.  I'm not sure what to call this look be never the less I styled it like this:  My go to sock bun when I want to achieve a chic finish look.  Then I wore my favorite go to necklaces and bangle stacks. Finally I pulled out these lovely vintage 1940 heels because I've been loving nude tone shoes with brights.  I guess it's a fun chic look?  

My family and I also enjoyed a spontaneous cookout with friends on Saturday and I enjoyed a going away party for a dear friend from work on Sunday.  I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I'm back from my quick trip to NYC.  It was great spending time with my bestie and attending the Versus Versace fashion show last night.  After leaving and heading home we spotted Cuba Gooding (actor) in a taxi cab right next to us.  I didn't capture the moment so oh well but cool either way.  Maxwell performed at that Fashion show.  Follow me on Instagram and view my photos from the Versace fashion show.

I wore this outfit last week to work at Madewell.  I was going for a effortless boho look.  I actually hemmed up this dress as it was an odd length.  I paired it with a Levi's light wash denim vest.  My accessories included vintage necklace, gold hoop earrings, vintage cocktail ring and a stack of bangles.

I scored this awesome sweater at one of my recent thrift store trips.  I paired it with this cotton maxi I purchased on Etsy last summer.  My accessories consisted of my usual assorted vintage bangles, sterling earrings and a lovely cotton scarf I picked up at my recent Swap & Shop event.  I'm realizing my go to look is "Boho Chic".  I love how easy & comfy it looks.

I hope everyone had a great weekend celebrating the special women in their lives.  I enjoyed Sunday brunch with my family at Casbah.  The food was delicious!  I initially intended to wear a more Springy ensemble but the high temp was only 52 degrees so I opted for this edgy look instead.  This is how I styled it.  I went with my natural curls down.  Then I chose to wear this dress which was a recent vintage score at the Vintage Pittsburgh Mixer.  I accompanied it with this leather jacket which is one of my prized vintage finds to date! My adornments included hoop earrings, gold chain, cocktail ring and a stack of bangles. Finally to complete my look I wore one of my favorite booties by DC Copenhagen.  I stayed warm despite the weather and enjoyed spending time with my family.

I wore this to my Swap & Shop event last Saturday.  I wanted to pull off an effortless casual chic look and this is how I styled it.  I started off by pulling my hair up into my go to sock bun (mostly used on bad hair days or running out of time).  Then I chose some jewelry to pull the look together.  I've been loving this bracelet as a pendant because it's too loose on my wrist. Finally I chose some comfy kicks because I knew I was going to be loading and unloading my stuff in and out of my car. I actually had another pair of sandals to change into but decided to leave these on and I'm loving the vibe the Keds added to this look!

Yesterday ended our streak of sunshine but it was much needed rain so I'm not complaining.  I spent my Tuesday with a dear friend.  We went to two of my favorite spots: Avalon Exchange & Thriftque.  We booth scored some good vintage items.  I'm sad to see her move back home to NYC but I definitely will be hitting her up when I'm in that neck of the woods.  I hope all is well in your world!

What a weekend!  Saturday was fun co-hosting a Swap & Shop event.  We had a great response and hope to do a public one in the near future.  Sunday was full of unwanted surprises.  As we were headed to church in our car ready to go my husband realized he left his keys in the house but how did we get in the car you ask?  Well I normally run late but today I was a head of time and decided to meet my hubby in the car but after letting myself in the car I walked back in the house and put my keys back. Long story short I created some confusion and that lead to my husband putting back his keys thinking that I had mine.  So we were stuck in our car all dressed up with no keys to start the car or to let ourselves back into our home.

We eventually got a locksmith to open up our house after he charged us an outrageous amount of money to complete the job.  Unbelievable!  I will be posting the name of that Company so local Pittsburghers won't be duped into the same ordeal we were.  Anyway we got back into our home which was the most important thing, thank God!
